Matt Chase formed Thunder Canyon in 1993, and since this time, the group has enjoyed having the reputation of being one of the top "Hot Country" bands in Central New York. The group’s versatility is evidenced by the fact that it can perform to many venues including nightclubs, public parks, field days, county fairs, weddings, and private parties. Thunder Canyon also plays to major venues such as the NY State Fair and Oswego’s Harbor Fest. The group has in the past performed on the same bill with national recording artists Dwight Yoakam and Andy Griggs, as well as Rascal Flatts, Kevin Sharp, and Marshall Tucker at the Verona Beach FROG Fest.
